Two Seconds: A Poem

Updated: Jul 11, 2020

Our mornings became golden,

Where the weather scattered gold.

The earth went to sleep under the blankets of the snow;

With one flame burning in our hearts, the winds are swaying,

and our bodies shivering.

Lifting the night, from the pillow of a mountain peak,

The sun rose and saw hearts burning with desire.

It watches the waves of life flowing, like a waterfall.

It took two seconds for everything to last.

After two seconds, it was back to plain and bland.

You were there, and that’s why it felt unreal.

Just like a flower blossoming memories from our past,

it felt magical.
