If you're in the mood for baking but not making a big mess or having some freshly baked dessert without all the work, this recipe is perfect for you. It's melt-in-your-mouth chocolaty goodness. This recipe is inspired by the one in Keda Black's Nutella Mug Cakes & More. Here it is!
Serves 2
2 tablespoons butter
6 tablespoons milk or semisweet chocolate chips
4 tablespoon sugar
1 egg
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
2 tablespoons Nutella
1 teaspoon chopped nuts (optional)
Step 1: Add 1 tablespoon of the butter and 3 tablespoons of chocolate chips into two large mugs. Microwave for 40 seconds to a minute or until fully melted.
Step 2: Stir 2 tablespoons of sugar into each mug
Step 3: In a separate bowl, beat the egg. Add half to each mug.
Step 4: Mix 1 tablespoon of flour into each mug. Add 1 tablespoon of Nutella to the center of each mug.
Step 5: Cook each cake in the microwave one at a time for 1 minute or until the tops have turned opaque.
Step 6: Let them cool for a minute and, if desired, sprinkle the chopped nuts on top or with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
Enjoy!
