The Best Comedy Specials on Netflix

Has life got you down and left you in need of a good laugh? Try watching these five amazing stand-up comedy specials on Netflix. I guarantee that everyone will enjoy at least one of these specials.

Bert Kreischer: The Machine (TV-MA)

In his first Netflix special, Kreischer recounts hilarious moments from his past including, but not limited to, the time he joined the Russian mafia, when his wife saved him from a grizzly bear, and funny anecdotes about his two daughters. According to Amazon, 89 percent of customers rated The Machine with five stars. My favorite part was when Bert describes the time he and his family went zip-lining. I would rate this comedy as a 9/10; you are sure to shoot water out your nose. Bert Kreischer also has two other specials on Netflix.

John Mulaney: Kid Gorgeous at Radio City (TV-MA)

This comedy special features famous stand-up comedian and actor John Mulaney during his Kid Gorgeous tour in NYC. Another great storyteller, John Mulaney describes his experience with Detective JJ Bittenbinder; a children’s homicide expert as well as his demanding French Bulldog named Petunia. I would rate this comedy as another 9/10. John Mulaney has two other solo comedy specials, a shared comedy special with Nick Kroll, and a kid-friendly special all available on Netflix.

Gabriel “Fluffy” Iglesias: I’m Sorry for What I Said When I Was Hungry (TV-14)

Gabriel Iglesias a Mexican-American comedian known for his voice impressions and anecdotal stories. In “I’m Sorry For What I Said When I Was Hungry,” Fluffy shares his experiences of being on tour, raising his adoptive son, and his adventures with his eccentric friends. I would rate this special an 8/10. If you want more Fluffy, he has another Netflix special and plenty more content on the internet.

Taylor Tomlinson: Quarter-Life Crisis (TV-MA)

Tomlinson shares her wisdom of being in your 20s nowadays in her first solo standup special. I especially liked when she argued that dating and relationships aren't all what they're cracked up to be. Tomlinson shares her real-life experiences and pain with the audience in a playful and amusing way. I rate this special 8/10. If you want more, Taylor Tomlinson was featured in “The Comedy Lineup” on Netflix.

Iliza Shlesinger: Unveiled (TV-MA)

I would describe Schesinger as a feminist comedian. In her newest Netflix comedy special, Schlesinger shares the truth about planning a wedding and being a bride. Furthermore, she cracks down on bizarre wedding traditions and the injustices that women face in our society. I rate this special a 8/10. Schlesinger also has three other comedy specials and one TV series all available on Netflix.
