Smoothie bowls are one of my favorite things to have because they are so versatile and are perfect for almost any time of the day! Over quarantine, I have started to make them more often and, after many successes and failures, have found two recipes that I particularly enjoy:
1. Mango Strawberry Spinach Smoothie Bowl
Ingredients:
1 cup of frozen mango
1 cup frozen strawberry
Around 1 cup of spinach
1 tablespoon of açai powder
Around ¾ cup of milk or a non-dairy milk (increase quantity as needed)
Toppings:
Granola
Sliced strawberries
Hemp hearts (shelled hemp seeds)
Honey
2. Mango Blueberry Avocado Smoothie Bowl
Ingredients:
1- 1½ cup of frozen frozen mango
1 cup of frozen blueberries
½ avocado
¼ cup of protein powder (preferably vanilla flavor)
Around ¾ cup of milk or a non-dairy milk (increase quantity as needed)
Toppings:
Granola
Blueberries
Coconut Flakes
Honey
The instructions for these two recipes are relatively the same.
In a blender, place any fruits and vegetables, with the frozen ones towards the bottom of the blender.
Then, add any powder(s) and make sure to distribute it as evenly as possible over the fruit and veggies in the blender.
Finally, add the milk or non-dairy milk and blend on high until the mixture is smooth. During this process, you may need to add in extra milk as needed or scrap the sides of the blending bowl.
Scoop/pour the smoothie mixture into a bowl and add toppings.
Enjoy!
Omg these sound so goooood! Fruit is underrated :,)
They sound soo good, I will for sure be giving these a try! Thanks<3
