OKAY… if you have TikTok I know you’ve stumbled across this rising trendy food: baked oats. I’ve been seeing them everywhere, from my TikTok FYP to my Instagram feed. You can never go wrong with baked oats because they are heartwarming, nutritious, and you can modify them to your liking. In addition, making your own breakfast can make you feel more energized and ready to tackle the day ahead of you. Think about waking up after a good night’s rest and having the cozy and warm aroma of baked oats (basically like cake) wafting around the room. Ahhh… picturing this scene is already making me feel more relaxed. I am going to share my favorite basic baked oats recipe, but feel free like I said, to modify it based on your liking.
Ingredients:
½ cup rolled oats
½ mashed banana + half sliced banana
½ cup of any milk
2 tbsp. flax meal
1 tbsp. nut butter
Topping Ideas:
Yogurt, nut butter, pumpkin seeds, cinnamon, more fruit
Instructions:
Preheat oven to 400℉
Blend all the ingredients
Pour into oven safe bowl
Bake for 20-25 minutes
Add toppings if desired
